Saturday, September 7, 2013, 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Drop in anytime; no reservations necessary.

Families of all ages are invited to an interactive free Art & Poetry Workshop, featuring “Poem Store” author/performer, Jacqueline Suskin, an Honorable Mention Award Winner in the 2013 LAMAG Juried Exhibition.

Using a manual typewriter, Ms. Suskin will write one-of-a kind poems especially for families.  She will discuss her unique style of creative writing and her experiences as a traveling poet and performer.  Participants will use a variety of writing tools and colorful art materials to create drawings inspired by Ms. Suskin’s poetry, as well as their own imaginative poems and stories.

The Ends of the Book

Today I am remembering this beautiful lecture about publishing by Matthew Stadler, founder of Publication Studio. He begins to discuss my book "The Collected" around the 18 minute mark, but the entire lecture is incredible.

A lecture by Matthew Stadler, founder of Publication Studio, on the occasion of Publication Studio New Haven, a one-week project hosted by Beinecke Library and ArtSpace New Haven. Followed by an interview with project coordinator, Timothy Young and an audience Q&A.
